"Misplaced Altruism"
This week burns down an illusion that has the potential to free us, but only if we can stomach the fact that our compassion has been weaponized against us.
There's an area of our lives where our compassion has made our energy leaky, and our ongoing consent is disguising the underlying manipulation.
This would be like discovering that the human rights organization we've been supporting for a decade has been funding human trafficking.
Or we might learn that the blood we've been donating to save someone's life is being used in rituals by the predator class.
Not only have we been wasting our own life force energy in the form of our time, compassion, and money, we've been empowering that same system and enabling it to cause more harm.
Closer to home, we may have a friend that's struggling with addiction, and we suddenly see that they have no intention of healing. Continuing to bail them out hurts us both.
We're warned that as these illusions dissolve, we're at risk of a violent pendulum swing that causes us to completely withdraw our compassion and close our hearts.
We're reminded that it's not heartless to put ourselves first, and withdrawing our energy from these illusions literally disempowers them. Clarity surfaces.
With a little bit of time and distance, newfound boundaries reveal just how manipulative the situation was, even as we process some grief over the energy we've "wasted".
